T-COOR was able to host its first Community Giveaway in over three years on Sunday, January 21st at the St. Lawrence Community Recreation Center. We managed to distribute 250+ items to the community and also meet some new volunteers and clients. Thank you again to everyone who participated! We are planning another Community Giveaway in March so please check back for details!

DECEMBer 2023-CAFTCAD WARDROBE SALE
Thanks again to CAFTCAD and the generosity of its membership! T-COOR was able participate in the TV/Movie Wardrobe Sale this December and received so many wonderful clothing items and accessories from the participants. These items will all be distributed at our long overdue Community Giveaway this Sunday, January 21st at the St. Lawrence Community Recreation Center.
September 2022 - THANK YOU
T-COOR’s first event in over two years raised awareness and collected new clothes and toiletries for our charity partners who work directly with those in need.
On September 25, 2022, T-Coor hosted its first event in over two years. Held at Space in Toronto, the gathering was an opportunity for some of our charity representatives to get together too and share their stories of helping those in need. From Ve’ahavta to OOTC and CSO, guests were able to ask questions as everyone mixed and mingled in support of a good cause. We were also able to welcome a new charity into our little network - Haven on the Queensway whose outreach includes actively assisting the senior population with home visits, meals and services.
We also want to thank Pulsar UV for providing our on-site Covid testing as well as Blazing Kitchen for the wonderful hors d’oeuvres! Guests were invited to bring in a new item of clothing or new tolietries which were then donated to T-COOR’s various charities. Additionally, the event was in memory of Irene Yu who passed away in early 2022 after a valiant fight with a rare and debilitating illness. Throughout her life, she advocated for those less fortunate. From the time she arrived in Canada in 1968 and worked as a health care aide at a busy downtown hospital (where she became the de facto translator during her shifts in the Emergency ward) to her tireless efforts to help new immigrants in her community, Irene was always happy to help make a difference. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and amazing trailblazer who inspired her daughter every day. She will be sorely missed!
2020/2021 THANK YOU
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we have not been able to do our usual Community Giveaways. Volunteers are also unable to assist and we are now looking for new storage space (preferably donated). However, T-COOR is still able to help direct and organize clothing picks up by the charities who work with us on a regular basis. Recently, T-COOR worked with the productions Nightmare Alley, Sneakerella and Women Talking which resulted in a number of charities who work directly with those in need being able to benefit from their generosity! THANK YOU to all who helped make that happen. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy 2021!
CHRISTMAS DAY 2019
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us on Christmas Day! We are also very grateful for the ongoing support of CAFTCAD who, again this year, collected donations for T-COOR at their Holiday Party. We were able to put together 300+ packages of cookies, hand warmers, new socks, new underwear, shirts, and toiletries to drop off to shelters for those in need last night!

CAFTCAD FALL MOVIE WARDROBE SALE 2019 / FALL/WINTER community clothing giveaway @ st. Lawrence recreation centre & WELLESLEY COMMUNITY CENTRE
We’d like to thank CAFTCAD and their participants/vendors of the recent Fall Movie Wardrobe Sale for their generosity! It’s always a fun event, and we’re grateful to those who donated clothes and accessories to T-COOR. Many of the clothes were picked up directly by our friends/partners this year and we were also able to do two Community Clothing Events this November and December. Over 500 items were given away at both the St. Lawrence Community Centre and at our newest addition, The Wellesley Community Centre, despite the snowstorm!

We’d like to thank CAFTCAD and their participants/vendors of the recent Spring Movie Wardrobe Sale for their generosity again! It’s always a pleasure to be a part of this event, and we’re grateful to those who donated clothes and accessories to T-COOR. Thank you to A. Hayes, L. Fung, A. Fulop, J. Amson, D. Brown and Caitlin @ Wear and Now. And to those we didn’t get a chance to have sign our thank you form, we truly appreciate your support! We were able to turn around these items right away - the next weekend at a T-COOR event! Over 300 items given away in a mere 5 hours at the Community Clothing Giveaway at the St. Lawrence Community Recreation Centre! Another 600 items were picked up by 2 of our charity partners to hand out to those in need this same week! So again, just a big thank you to CAFTCAD and a special thanks to a show that recently wrapped!

CAFTCAD FALL MOVIE WARDROBE SALE 2018
Again, we are overwhelmed by the support of the film/tv industry who generously provided more clothing to T-COOR this past October. This time, we partnered with the NORTH YORK HARVEST FOOD BANK who were able to make use of the donations to help the numerous individuals and families they support. Given the amount of clothing, we were also able to ensure that Ve’ahavta and CSO were provided with items to help their clients too.
A special thanks to CAFTCAD (Lynsey, Joanna, et al) and our volunteers - Steve W. and Bee M. - who spent much of their Saturday manning the T-COOR table at the sale. And of course, thank you to our regular supporters and designers - Caitlyn, Jill, Luis, Ian, Bonnie, so many of you whose generosity knows no limits - for their ongoing support which helps countless people during these difficult times!

Special thanks to Steve Williams of FILM PORT, Chris Goddard of the CRAFT BRAND COMPANY and BIG ROCK BREWERY again for their generous support of T-COOR for its 2nd Annual Holiday Party this past December. We had a wonderful turnout and many donations which went out to our charities before Christmas! Our group of volunteers was out in full force - special thanks to Liam Thompson, Sarah Margolius, Ben Bratzel, Julie Bratzel, Matt Hotson - and some of our charities' reps were also able to attend and let people know about the good work they do to help those in need.
Thank you again for the continued support of our film industry volunteers and to the various productions that donate their leftover wardrobe and accessories to T-COOR! We try to turn around your donation within 2 weeks which means we always welcome assistance in helping us sort and categorize the items.
